Romanian-Swiss Programme for SMEs

On January 16, 2014 was held at CEC Palace in Bucharest a press conference on the launch of the Romanian-Swiss Programme for SMEs. This Programme aims lending investments to support the development of the SME sector in four priority areas, namely manufacturing, healthcare, tourism and marketing systems / equipment specifically for energy saving and those using renewable energy resources to streamline its work. Through this program, eligible SMEs will benefit from a budget of 28.524 million Swiss francs lending, of which 70% is of Swiss contribution and 30% of CEC Bank – amounting to 8.524 million Swiss francs. Each beneficiary can access a maximum credit of 100,000 Swiss francs, equivalent in lei at the BNR. Beneficiaries will be able to call on a guarantee issued by the National Credit Guarantee Fund for SMEs. Loans are guaranteed by up to 80% of the amount borrowed and the remaining, at least 20%, is borne by the eligible beneficiary or another guarantor.
